# Job Description
Video Repair Technician 1 This is Regular Part Time position and will be scheduled to work about 20 hours per week.
Responsible for providing technical assistance and problem resolutions of a complex nature to customers of CenturyLink's Prism TV and Internet customers.
Interface with external customers of CenturyLink''s ISP and Television service.
Troubleshoot and log problems into an automated problem tracking system.
Diagnose problems of a technical nature related to the Television service, features and functionality of Prism, Internet connectivity, and email access of the customers.
Due to the daily contact with end-users and internal departments, this position requires very strong human relations skills.
Primary function will be to handle customer contacts via phone, on-line chat, or email.
Escalate any customer-related issues to the appropriate group or person as necessary.
Keep abreast of software, hardware, and product information related to the product offerings that are part of our Video and ISP services.
Keep abreast of service outages and issues that affect the customer's video and Internet service.
Other duties as assigned.
# Job Requirements
Basic
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
One year of customer service and technical internet experience or the equivalent in training and experience.
Experience working with internal and external customers to insure adequate levels of service to the customers are met.
Good working knowledge of personal computers, data terminals, and software applications, such as Web browsers, email applications, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated experience successfully handling multiple activities at once.
Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Self motivated and can work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to adhere to strict schedules and adjust scheduled work hours as required.
Courteous and professional attitude.
Works well and remains calm under pressure.
Detail oriented.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience monitoring Video and/or Data Networks.
Experience with customer relations: sales, customer service, technical support, etc.
Experience monitoring the status of system outages and keeping management informed of any changes.
Experience evaluating hardware and software problems and appropriate recommendation of responsibility of the problem.
