Summary:
The Payroll Specialist I will be responsible for timely and accurate Retail, Factory and Admin payroll processing and support of personnel for assigned payrolls.
Assists in the implementation of processes and procedures to minimize or eliminate errors in future payrolls.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
Process payroll for Retail, Factory and Admin groups as assigned on a weekly and bi-weekly basis using the Lawson and Kronos systems, including entering payroll changes and adjustments as needed for an accurate payroll.
Process special compensation such as bonuses, relocation, personal time, retroactive pay, as they relate to assigned process levels.
Provides support to assigned process levels as it relates to questions regarding amounts paid to employees.
Assists with garnishments, Canadian payroll and Concur as needed SCOPE & IMPACT:
Responsible for providing accurate payrolls for 500
employees, working in 5
process levels, 40
stores, covering 10
states.
MINIMIUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma with 0 - 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access Work independently with the ability to provide status of tasks on a regular basis and recognize unusual situations/requests before proceeding.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERED REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree Previous experience in a professional office or payroll setting SUPERVISORY
