# Job Description
We have an immediate opening for a Cost Analyst that is accountable for auditing, dispute management and general ledger coding of domestic and international telecom costs. Responsibilities include preparation and analysis of monthly telecom invoices.
Position Objectives :
Audit circuit expenses and process invoices by due date
Explain month over month changes in telecom costs
Prepare, file and resolve disputes timely with vendors
Code all charges with appropriate general ledger coding
Reconcile A/R balances with vendors
Essential duties:
Verify circuit pricing and conditions as per vendor contracts
Follow circuit disconnects and verify stop bill dates
Research/validate circuits not in provisioning database
Prepare and present summary of disputes to management
Coordinate and resolve disputes with vendors
Inform management of major increase of telecom costs
Assign general ledger coding of circuits / charges for upload into accounting system
Maintain balanced billing accounts and clean Accounts Payable aging
Attend vendor meetings and conference calls as needed
Required skills:
3-5 years experience in financial /cost analysis
2-3 years experience in the telecommunication industry
Proficient with MS Excel, Word
Excellent written and verbal communications skills (includes internationally)
Ability to simultaneously manage monthly duties with unexpected project assignments
Ability to interface effectively with vendors and internal departments
Excellent problem solving / decision making and interpersonal skills
Quality and consistency of results / performance
Strong attention to detail
Desired skills:
Familiarity with SAP
Familiarity with telecom industry / expense
Education or Equivalent
Experience:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
